What is Fog Computing?

Hi, this is my second blog and it is the First technical blog. here I’ll share some of my views about Fog computing, a morden concept for data storage.

                      In this modern world, TIME become the most important factor which leads us to develop technologies to compute faster even though It is costly we prefer it, Similarly the online storage infrastructure cloud has some disadvantages like slow response, less security, unavailability, high bandwidth to overcome this the CISCO coined a new tech called FOG, can it overcome all the disadvantages of the Cloud? Well let’s see that in this blog…………….


                  Fog computing also known as fogging or edge computing is a globally distributed computing infrastructure in which application services are handled by the edge networking Smart
devices like routers, smart phones, etc.
                  Fog acts like an intermediate between users and cloud. It extends the services of cloud computingparadigms such as provides data, computation, applications and
storage to end users. Fogg means the cloud close to the ground and its goal is to improve
the efficiency and reduce the amount of data stored to the cloud by analyzing and filtering the
 data’s(i.e. the changes alone updated if the data is already present in the cloud) . Fogging provides improved security to the data by encoding where the cloud uses encryption which costs less than encoding [e.g. 2g network is cheaper than 3g but mostly we prefer 3g because of its speed]and also it reducesthe data movement across the networks. Fog are distributed in heterogeneous platforms inGeographical environments so, fog has high response time than cloud by consuming less
 bandwidth and supports mobility. And it is interconnected between many fog’s of the same cloud or different cloud by a network to ensure stability and data transfer between them(fog). Even though        fog is better than cloud it can't replace the cloud completly because of its limitations. It is  limited to act a intermidiate alone and has less storage capacity and uptime because it is associated with edge devices.The technical giants like IBM, Microsoft, IEEE andCISCO are working on the Fogging, The term fog commonly refered as cisco fog. 

              It’s a very useful for the last minuters where at last minute the cloud may be slow or unavailable due to lot of users at a same cloud which leads to late submission but in the presence of fog my response get stored and my file gets uploaded in it later when the cloud is free.
     Fogging has its applications in the real scenarios like
 Connected Cars (Audi has implemented this in its products from 2017), Smart traffic signals and Smart grids and also in E-Governance, Green city, etc. mostly in all fields involve cloud computing………….

Arrays using Pointers..

In this blog let’s try to understand about pointer.   So, what is pointer?... pointer is thing that used to point something in a group. For example, Here, the pointer is used to point the temperature in the gauge. Similarly, in computer the data gets stored in memory and each data is assigned with an address in the memory. So, the pointer is used to point the data, in other words pointer contains a memory address of that particular data. (int a = 10; here the ‘a’ indirectly act as a pointer which has the value ‘10’.) MongoDB with Php part 01
